Every AC system will be a little different when it comes to it's needed maintenance, depending on its age and equipment type. But there are a number of steps that will stay the same for every central air conditioning tune-up, below is an example of the steps our technician might take on a normal air conditioning tune-up service call:

• Allergies caused by dust, pollen, mold and other indoor pollutants
• Dry winter air with resultant dry eyes, skin and sleep issues
• High summer humidity causing condensation, mold and mildew

IAQ Solutions

• Air Filters: Disposable air filters assist in decreasing dust, pollen, pet dander, smoke, bacteria and much more. If installed, you may only need to replace the filter every few months, depending on use and size. Changing you furnace and AC filters to a high quality media filter will result in cleaner and much more dust-free indoor environments.
• Air Cleaners: Replacement air filters are not needed for electronically cleaned air systems. Air cleaners are much more effective in capturing airborne particles from the air passing through them, requiring minimal maintenance.
• Air Purifiers and UV Systems: UV air purifiers work with your HVAC systems ductwork by using ultraviolet light to address surface contaminants such as mold and bacteria.
• Humidifiers: Humidifiers help to balance winter humidity levels in your home for optimum comfort. Evaporative humidifiers or steam humidifiers are great choices depending on the details of your application.
• Dehumidifiers: In the summertime, or year around in commercial settings. Excessive humidity encourages mold growth and dehumidifiers will remove moisture to help you preserve a desired level of humidity.
